BRIEF HISTORY: One day in 1996, "Ginger" Martus was having lunch at a marina when she heard someone firing up a chainsaw to carve up an old wooden boat. The legend says she threw herself between the boat and the business end of the chainsaw. True or not, the reality is that she convinced them to give her a few days to find someone to take the old boat. She made up a batch of flyers to distribute to her boating friends, and Bone Yard Boats was born.

RENEWED ADVERTISING: When I took the helm of Bone Yard Boats back in the summer of 2005, I made the conscious decision to focus my efforts on creating a true, quarterly print publication, building the base of old-boat-loving subscribers, and establishing boneyardboats.com as the go-to destination site for lovers of these old boats. With these three priorities all well underway, the time is right to bring additional value to the expanding Bone Yard Boats community by re-introducing reasonably-priced relevant advertising in multiple forms.  Read on...
