1947 CHRIS CRAFT 39'. Owner says, "We have owned the boat since
August 2003. We have never seen her in the water. She went from a
boatyard in Salem Mass, to our backyard. We started restoring her
immediately, however, other things developed and she got put on the back
burner. After failed attempts to keep her covered from ME weather, she
has been exposed to fresh rain water for the last 2 years. A marine
survey was done in 1997, which we have, and it describes the boat as a
39' motorboat, builders hull number DC-40-110, overall length of 39' and
named Mahalo Nui. Original owner, I think, from Boston Mass. It has twin
gasoline engines, located mid section. Chev. 305CI - V-8. We had them
checked out, and they had seized up. We are extremely anxious to get
this out of our yard because we are trying to get the house ready to
sell, and it is a bit of an eyesore at this point. I have persuaded my
husband not to start cutting her up until August. If she is still here
then, he will dismantle her. So, I just thought I'd throw that time
frame out for you. I personally would love to see her go to a new home
and become someone's pet project. If you can make that happen, that
would be super. Thanks for your interest." Asking: FREE to a
