CHRIS CRAFT CHALLENGER 42'. Mahogany hull, bronze fastenings.
Owner says, "I bought the boat from a friend that was using it as a live
aboard in Ventura, CA. She had a leak that was due to some worm damage.
Consequently, she had trouble with her insurance company and could not
afford to dry dock the boat and have it properly repaired. She agreed to
sell me the boat, and I arranged to have it hauled to my property. I had
a partner that was willing to do the necessary repairs for 50% interest
in the boat. The partner never completed the repairs. I then listed the
boat with a yacht broker in Marina Del Rey. He was unable to find a
buyer. I know very little about boats, but at this point was worried
about the time a wooden boat had spent out of the water (5 years). It is
a rare and beautiful boat and I really hope someone can restore and
enjoy it. Thanks for your help!"
Survey says she's powered by twin 6-cylinder 140hp Detroit Diesels,

Sadly, the boat had to be scrapped. Long story. Thanks for all your
help. You really helped to generate a lot of interest. Mike did his best
but she was just too far gone. Engines, transmissions, and fuel tanks
are available if your people are at all interested. Let me know. Thanks
again. - Tenna
