1953
CHRIS CRAFT COMMANDER 34'. 11' beam. Mahogany hull. Twin
Hercules/Chris Craft flatheads believed to have been rebuilt in 1995.
According to the owner, this boat was originally purchased at the New
York Boat Show in 1953 by his friend's grandfather. He believes it is
actually a 1952 but was registered as a 1953. Brian, the current owner,
purchased the boat about 12 years ago from the grandfather after giving
him a "no flip" commitment, making Brian the second owner of this nearly
60-year old boat. Brian never really had the time to do the restoration
he had planned, and now he has lost the space where the boat has been
stored. It is time for someone to take over this boat's restoration.
Owner says boat is completely original and nothing is missing.
Asking price: Free to a good home with a commitment to
restore.
Boat located in Dutchess County, New York.
UPDATE 4/16/22: Rumor has it that this boat is in
the process of being "adopted" by a Bone Yard Boats subscriber. I
will confirm when/if possible.
