Some FREE BOATS from the Spring & Summer 2010 issues.

This is not a complete list of FREE boats.

Summer 2010 (Issue No. 48)

FREE 1939 SPARKMAN & STEPHENS 42' SLOOP

Bone Yard Boats received an interesting email from Paula and Michael. It seems that they acquired a 1938 Sparkman & Stephens 42' sloop through the purchase of their home.  In other words, the boat came with the house!  Fortunately for the old boat community, Paula and Michael believe the boat to be worth restoring, and ... "would really like to give [her] to someone who will save her."

Spring 2010 (Issue No. 47)

FREE 1968 VIKING SPORTFISH

"This is the marina that you helped out over Hull #1, 1950 Chris Craft Sea Queen. They are ready to raise and restore her, thanks to you! Now I have something a lil newer -- a 1968 Viking Sport Fish, free for one of your readers. Her hull is sound, and in need of power. Her paint's peeled, and it would be a shame for her to end up in the chipper." May 1st deadline!

Summer 2010 (Issue No. 48)

FREE 1967 CHRIS CRAFT SEA SKIFF 27'

Owner says, "She was hauled out and sitting in a boat yard for 5 years, and the owner abandoned her there. Yard owner gave her to me. We put her in the water, and then we towed her about 10 miles to my home and hauled her out and put her on my property in a cradle (well built). We installed a new oak keel and about 15 oak ribs..."

Spring 2010 (Issue No. 47)

FREE 1956 "MYSTERY" 39' -- WHEELER?

Owner says, "I have, what I believe is, a 39' Thompson? Just prior to acquiring it, it had been dry docked for 2 years. I had it moved to my property with the idea of restoring it. That was 10 years ago and I never was able to get back to this project. The flybridge had to be removed and set onto the bow for transportation purposes." [ BYB: This may be a Wheeler. The title reads "WHE" under make. ]

HELP SAVE! --1919 MATHIS TRUMPY 52' -- GRAND LADY

Owner's daughter says, "I am searching for a good home for a historic 1919 Mathis-Trumpy, The Grand Lady (originally Riette II -- hull#102). As you may know she is one of the oldest Trumpy yachts in existence. She is in critical need of restoration / reconstruction. She currently floats in Satsuma, FL..."    The clock is ticking on this one.  <PICS+INFO>
