FREE BOAT: 1947 ELCO 47'

"This 47' Elco Motor Yacht is one of six built in 1946-1947 and she is one of three still known to exist. Her lines are the same as the PT boats, which Elco built for speed during WWII.

"...built 1947 or so by South Coast Boat-building, Newport Beach, CA. I purchased her in 2010, along with another old boat. FREE BOAT: 1953 GREBE COMMUTER YACHT 53'

COURIER was built by Henry C. Grebe & Company as RUSTY II and delivered in 1939. According to ShipbuildingHistory.com: "Grebe was famous for the style and quality of the boats he designed and built designed and built and the yard had many famous customers..."  [26 photos]  <PICS+INFO>
