"1928 Matthews 38 foot Stock Cruiser with 11 foot beam. The hull number is 1075. Engine is a Chrysler 318 with hydraulic reverse gear, 8 cylinders...  The engine was tuned up in 2009 to include new plugs, wires, distributor cap, rotor, points, etc., and was running well in 2009. 1939 CHAISSON MOTOR-SAILER 30'

MORNING STAR is a unique and classic vessel that was built by the well-known George Chaisson. The boat has an oak rudder, hung on the transom with bronze gudgeons and pintles, stepped on the oak skeg with a bronze keel fitting. The hull is carvel planked cedar and pine over 1 1/4" x 1 3/4" steam bent oak frames set at 10" on center. The stem, keel, keelson and dead wood are sawn oak...  [43 photos]  <PICS+INFO>

Last seen in Stuart, FL, in 1995, RHUBARB was docked at the Jersey shore from 1968 to 1992 and then donated to the Chapman Piloting School in 1994. I listed LOAFER IV, the free 1960 Morton Johnson 47' Sport Fish in Bone Yard Boats back in May 2011.
